What is EcoVadis
EcoVadis is a global sustainability rating that measures how well your business manages environmental, social, and ethical performance.
It gives you a score from 0 to 100 based on your policies, actions, and results. This score shows how your business performs against recognised ESG standards and how you compare to others in your sector.
More than 130,000 companies use EcoVadis to assess suppliers, manage risk, and prove sustainability credentials across global supply chains.
For many organisations, an EcoVadis rating is now a requirement to win and retain contracts.
How the assessment works
The EcoVadis process is evidence-based. You complete a tailored questionnaire and submit supporting documents such as policies, reports, and data. EcoVadis analysts review your submission and assess your performance across four key areas:
• Environment, covering energy, emissions, waste, and resource use
• Labour & Human Rights, covering working conditions, H&S, and employee wellbeing
• Ethics, covering anti-corruption, data protection, and business integrity
• Sustainable Procurement, covering how you manage suppliers and supply chain risk
Your final score is supported by a detailed scorecard. This highlights strengths, gaps, and clear actions to improve.
