Wagamama – Carbon Reporting

Wagamama – a popular restaurant chain, a complex organisation with multiple sites, used for differing purposes.

Wagamama started their GHG journey with Energise by using the government compliance scheme; ESOS, as a springboard to achieving a better understanding of the energy that was being used by their buildings and during their operations, along with the carbon emissions associated with their activities.

Wagamama wanted to understand:

  • What their scope 1 & 2 emissions were
  • What actions they could take to reduce their emissions
  • Produce reporting of their emissions which provided insight

Energise supported Wagamama with:

  • The end-to-end process of data collection, categorisation and the associated reporting that they wanted to achieve.
  • Highlighting the biggest carbon emitters, what they could do to reduce their emissions and how to improve on the quality of their data, which would lead to a more accurate picture over time.

The exercise was so beneficial to Wagamama that they continued their journey by asking Energise to expand the GHG Reporting  to include their scope 3 emissions.
